Zeke is from Moberly. He is 11.
Diagnosis: Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
Zeke was diagnosed while his mom was pregnant with him. Both mom and dad are carriers for CF. At 10 days old, they did the sweat test, which confirmed the diagnosis. At 14 days old, he started taking enzymes with applesauce. He lost weight, and it was a long 5 ½ hours being educated about CF with Dr. Acton and his team. Zeke takes lots of meds, including enzymes, Zantac, and stool softeners, 2 aerosols, and one inhaler. He also has to wear the vest that shakes him for 30 minutes at a time for breathing treatments to get the mucus to break free from his lungs. Decisions were made on where to work and live based on the likelihood of spending time at the hospital. We like having our CF care team within 30 minutes of home.
Zeke LOVES the game Fortnight! He also loves camping, playing baseball, and writing letters to his great uncle Tim and his pen pal Zachary. He wants to be a drummer and police officer.
His parents are Tyler and Hannah Price
