Camrey suffered Shaken Baby Syndrome on September 27, 2011 at only 3 months old due to a daycare provider. She had retinal hemorrhaging on both eyes, subdural hematomas and intraparenchymal and subarachnoid hemorrhaging. Her parents were told she may never walk or talk. Over the course of her hospitalization, we saw several doctors who helped answer our questions, explain what was happening and calm our fears. Camrey’s team of doctors and nurses were amazing and very caring.
Today, Camrey is on the Honor Roll with High Distinction. She is also a member of the Junior National Honors Society. She loves Softball, track, reading, and hanging out with friends. She had her first track meet this past Spring, running relays and jumping hurdles. She’s come a long way from the little girl who went through 3 sets of leg braces.
2026 marks Camrey’s 10th Radiothon.
Camrey’s parents are Nathan and Rebecca Green
