The Missouri Broadcasters Association held their 2016 Awards ceremony in Branson on Saturday June 11th.

Zimmer received 14 total nominations before heading into the ceremony and wrapped up the night 9 total wins!

It was a very special evening, not only for each Zimmer radio station, but for the entire company as Jerome Zimmer, founder of Zimmer Broadcasting, was inducted into the 2016 Missouri Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

The evening was part of the MBA annual convention and included dinner, entertainment, Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and MBA Awards Presentation.

Mark Gordon, MBA President/CEO said, “This is the one time of year that our broadcasters around the state come together to recognize the outstanding talent at our local radio and television stations and honor the men and women who have made huge contributions to broadcasting in Missouri through our Hall of Fame program.”

178 awards were presented to Missouri’s best radio and TV stations during the MBA Awards, including Stations of the Year presentations to KMOV-TV, St. Louis and KCLR-FM, Columbia.

The MBA also recognized Gary Exline, General Manager of Eagle Communications in St. Joseph, with the Distinguished Broadcaster Award.

Lifetime Member Awards were presented to John Butler, Charles and Scottie Earls, Ed Foxall and Dick Womack.

Branson entertainer Barry Williams (aka Greg Brady from The Brady Bunch) emceed the event.

There were 350 broadcasters and guests in attendance.
